Home Remodeling and Repair, From Pantries to Basements

5.0 from 48 Google reviews

Seth builds custom pantries, finishes basements with bathrooms and bars, remodels baths and fixes storm damage, with clear communication from the first call.

Built-ins, basements and fast fixes

McMichael Home Repair is Seth's home remodeling and repair business. One family asked him to replace an old kitchen desk with something useful, and he built a walk-in pantry with a sliding barn door, lit shelves and wood counters.

Another had him finish 1,400 square feet of basement, complete with a bathroom and two built-in bars.

Seth is just as quick with repairs. When a storm tore a satellite dish off a roof and the board underneath had rotted, he came out the next day and fixed it in two hours.

Reviewers keep using the same words: prompt, transparent, fairly priced and easy to talk to.

What Seth does

Custom pantries and built-ins

Unused corners of the kitchen turned into useful storage. Mike's family traded their old desk nook for a walk-in pantry with a white barn door, lit shelves and stained wood counters, finished on time and, in their words, well worth the investment.

Basement finishing and bathrooms

Full basement build-outs and bathroom remodels. One 1,400 square foot basement became a utility area, a spare bedroom, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a living space with two built-in bars. Google tags four more reviews for bathroom remodels.

Decks and exterior work

Outdoor projects posted on the McMichael Google profile include a raised deck with black metal railings and a full staircase down to the yard. Reviewers also mention storm door installs. Call to talk through your deck, door or exterior project.

Roof, storm and exterior repairs

Storm damage, roof patches and leak fixes, sometimes on very short notice. After a satellite dish ripped through one roof, Seth replaced the rotted board, added new underlayment and shingles, and the patch is now hard to spot.

02

Prompt and on time

Google tags nine reviews for promptness. Mike says his pantry was completed on time, and Brooke had her roof fixed the day after she called.

03

Fair pricing

Six reviews mention fair cost. Brooke wrote that the price for her roof repair was well under what big roofing companies charge.

Repairs that disappear

Brooke says you cannot tell where her roof was repaired. Seth found and replaced the dry-rotted board under the damage instead of just patching the shingles.

Seth created an awesome finished basement for us. Finished 1400 sq ft of space resulting in a useable utility space, great spare bedroom, bathroom with walk in shower and an awesome living space with two built in bar areas. He was completely transparent, listened to us, gave us options but most importantly for me was his communication. Always keeping us up to date. Would definitely work with Seth again.

Great experience! Seth delivered very high-quality work on a custom kitchen pantry we wanted in place of our old "kitchen desk" setup. He was efficient, prompt, and completed on time. Overall, the services were well worth the investment. We will definitely use again on future work!

Mike S. · Google review

McMichael came out next day to fix my roof. We had a satellite dish that damaged the roof when it got blown off in a storm. The whole board underneath had dry rotted because it was sealed properly! He was friendly and professional and did an amazing job in 2 hours!!!!!!! And you can't tell where the repair is now! Already asked him for a quote on my next job! Pricing was amazing and well under big roofing companies!

Yes. Seth finished a 1,400 square foot basement that now has a utility space, a spare bedroom, a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a living area with two built-in bars. The owners praised his transparency, his options and his regular updates.

How fast can you get to a storm repair?
